Lovejoy LVK 25 OEM Coupling

Description

The Lovejoy LVK 25 Torsional Coupling is an OEM flywheel coupling for engine-driven equipment, available in SAE 10 and SAE 7.5 flywheel sizes. The rubber element is bonded to a flywheel mounting plate on one side and drives a star-shaped hub housing on the other, so torque passes entirely through the elastomer with no metal-to-metal contact. The hub slides into the element during installation as a blind assembly, and the coupling runs without lubrication for its whole service life.

The design is highly torsionally compliant, which lets an engine drive a large inertia load without settling into a damaging vibration frequency. Coupling elements are wear items: heat, hours and load stiffen the rubber until it cracks, and a hardened element passes engine pulses straight into the bearings, shaft and seals on the driven side. Replacing the element on schedule costs a fraction of that repair. This is the factory Lovejoy component, dimensioned to fit the original mounting without modification.
