206R Periflex OEM Drive Coupler

The 206R Periflex OEM Drive Coupler is a Stromag Periflex shaft coupling for industrial power transmission applications. This tire-style coupling provides torsional vibration damping and shaft misalignment accommodation in compressors, generators, pumps, and diesel-driven equipment.

Stromag Periflex couplings are a standard in European-designed industrial equipment and are found worldwide on compressor packages, marine drive systems, and heavy industrial machinery. The 206R uses a rubber tire element that transmits torque while accommodating angular, parallel, and axial shaft misalignment without imposing significant reactive loads on connected bearings. The tire element is a maintenance item that can be replaced without moving the connected equipment, simplifying scheduled service.

When replacing the 206R element, unbolt the tire from the flange halves, inspect flange faces for wear or corrosion, and install the new tire with all bolts torqued evenly to the Stromag specification. Verify shaft alignment before starting the equipment.
