Description

The BoWex 80 HE-314.25 Coupling is an OEM coupling for diesel engine drives on gensets, piston compressors, water pumps, and splitter boxes. The vulcanized natural rubber element bolts to an SAE J620 10 inch flywheel, and a curved-tooth hub plugs axially into the element on the driven shaft. The rubber carries the torsional flexibility and damping while the curved teeth take up angular, radial, and axial shaft displacement, running dry with no lubrication required.

The rubber element is the wear item. As it hardens or takes a set the coupling stops damping and passes engine torsional vibration into the driven machine, which usually surfaces as failed bearings, fretted shafts, and leaking seals well before the element itself splits. This is the factory component, dimensioned to fit the original mounting without modification.
