Description

The ACH6.1NY Reich Arcusaflex Coupling Element is an OEM element for internal combustion engine drives on compressors, generator sets, crushers, and pump packages. The disc-shaped rubber element carries torque in torsion, and the toothed profile around its circumference plugs into the coupling flange for backlash-free transmission with generous axial float. In the NY designation, N is the 65 Shore A hardness grade and Y is the high-temperature compound.

Heat is what ends an element’s life. Once the compound hardens or cracks the coupling stops absorbing torsional vibration and passes it downstream into bearings, shafts, and seals. The Y compound was developed for the installations that run hottest: high ambient temperatures, poorly ventilated coupling housings, and duty cycles with frequent starts and stops. This is the factory component, dimensioned to fit the original mounting without modification.
