LCD-0075-78-C Ingersoll Rand OEM Drive Coupler

The LCD-0075-78-C is an Ingersoll Rand OEM drive coupler from Lord’s Dynaflex LCD coupling line. Designed for portable compressor applications, this coupling isolates engine-generated torsional vibration from the compressor airend, protecting bearings, seals, and rotating assemblies from accelerated wear.

Lord LCD couplings in the -0075 size range are used across Ingersoll Rand’s portable compressor fleet. The LCD-0075-78-C uses a particular elastomer formulation and element geometry matched to its target compressor model. Substituting a different LCD variant results in incorrect stiffness characteristics and reduced coupler life.

Installation follows standard Lord LCD coupler procedures: remove the old coupling noting its position, clean both shaft ends, verify hub condition and keyway fit, install the new coupling, and align to factory tolerances. Run the compressor through a full warm-up cycle and check for abnormal vibration or noise before releasing for service.
