Description

The 10287331 Rexnord Omega E3 Coupling is an OEM flexible element for Rexnord Omega E3 close-coupled elastomeric couplings, also supplied under legacy part number 7300010. The urethane element is split in half, so it installs and replaces without moving the driver or the driven equipment. It carries torque between the two hubs with no metal-to-metal contact and no lubrication, damping vibration and accommodating shaft misalignment.

Coupling elements are wear items. Urethane hardens and cracks with heat, hours and misalignment, and once the element loses its elasticity, the shock loads it was absorbing pass straight into the bearings and seals on both sides of the coupling. Replacing the element on schedule costs far less than the motor or pump repair that follows a failure. It ships with its mounting shoes and hardware; the hubs are sold separately.
