Transfluid RBD 7S Coupling Assembly

Description

The Transfluid RBD 7S Elastic Coupling is an OEM coupling for industrial diesel engine drives on generators, pumps, and compressor packages. This is the complete assembly: the aluminum outer ring that bolts to the SAE J620 size 7-1/2 flywheel, the hub carrying twelve molded rubber blocks, and the QD-SH tapered bushing that locks it to the driven shaft. Torque passes through rubber in compression between internal and external teeth instead of metal on metal, and the outer ring takes up small angular and radial misalignment.

The rubber blocks are the wear item. As the compound hardens or cracks the coupling stops damping and passes torsional vibration straight into the driven equipment, which usually surfaces as failed bearings, fretted shafts, and leaking seals before the coupling itself comes apart. This is the factory component, dimensioned to fit the original mounting without modification.
