Description

The Transfluid RBD 10SS Complete Elastic Coupling is an OEM elastic coupling for engine-driven equipment. Torque passes through blocks of molded rubber compound seated against matching internal teeth in the aluminum outer driving ring, so the entire drive path runs through the elastomer. The outer ring bolts directly to the output flange of the prime mover, and the arrangement absorbs torsional vibration along with small angular and radial misalignment.

Couplings are wear items. The rubber blocks harden and take a set with heat, hours and load, and once they stop flexing, the vibration they were absorbing carries straight into the bearings, shafts and seals downstream. Replacing the coupling on schedule costs far less than the damage a failed one leaves behind. This is the factory component, dimensioned to fit the original mounting without modification.
