GX48-55 OEM Drive Coupler

The GX48-55 OEM Drive Coupler is a Guardian-series flexible coupling element for industrial power transmission applications. This elastomeric coupler provides torsional vibration damping and shaft misalignment accommodation in engine-driven and motor-driven equipment.

Guardian couplings are found in compressor packages, pump drives, generator sets, and other rotating equipment where the driver and driven unit must be connected through a flexible element. The GX48-55 is sized for medium-duty applications where reliable torque transfer and vibration isolation are required under continuous operation. The rubber element absorbs startup shock loads and dampens the cyclical forces that cause fatigue failure in bearings and seals on connected equipment.

This coupling element drops into existing Guardian hub assemblies without modification. During replacement, check both hubs for cracks, scoring, or wear at the element contact surfaces. Verify angular and parallel shaft alignment per the equipment service manual before final assembly.
