Description

The Reich ACH5ST Coupling Kit is an OEM coupling kit for engine-driven equipment. A flexible rubber element carries torque between the engine flywheel and the driven machine, with cam teeth around the element engaging matching teeth inside the coupling flange for backlash-free transmission. The design absorbs torsional vibration and shock loading while compensating for misalignment between the two shafts.

Couplings are wear items. The element hardens and cracks with heat, hours and load, and once it loses elasticity the vibration it was absorbing passes straight into the bearings, shafts and seals downstream. Replacing the coupling on schedule costs far less than the damage a failed one leaves behind. This is the factory component, dimensioned to fit the original mounting without modification.
