02250246-002 Sullair OEM Drive Coupler

The 02250246-002 Sullair OEM Drive Coupler is a coupling for Sullair portable air compressors.

Taper-lock couplings are specified in Sullair compressors where the shaft connection requires higher clamping force and better concentricity than a standard keyway bore provides. The taper-lock hubs grip the shaft through friction generated by the tapered interface, eliminating the need for keyways on that side of the coupling. This design is common in applications with higher torque or where keyway fatigue is a concern.

When installing a taper-lock coupler, follow the manufacturer’s specific procedure for the locking hardware – these require a defined torque sequence to achieve proper clamping force. Do not reuse worn taper-lock components. Verify alignment after hub installation.
